Common Questions

What success have you had?

SFF specialises in fatigue through an individual adopting a self-management approach. Our team is made up of a range of skills, personal lived experiences of fatigue, health professionals each a leading specialist in their field. Over the last ten years we have supported thousands of people who have helped shape our Hub programmes. Many people have reported returning to employment, education or a greater quality of life through being supported by the Salus Fatigue Foundation programme.

I have not been formally diagnosed with fatigue, but I am suffering from the symptoms described on your website - can I still access the hub?

Yes! Very often a formal diagnosis in fatigue can take years or it can be the result of other medical intervention and seen as a side effect. The hub has been designed to provide helpful day to day management tips for people experiencing fatigue.

Can I just do this by myself?

Yes of course you can, however at Salus Fatigue Foundation we have built up over 10 years’ worth of skills, knowledge and experience to help you to adopt a self-management approach to improving your health and well-being. We have proven results and all knowledge comes from qualified Health Practitioners.

But I can access all the information and help i need from books and the internet?

There is certainly more than enough information about fatigue available through books and on the internet, but it can often be inaccurate or not applicable to your current symptoms. The media often over simplify news stories and some of what we read is written by unqualified people making untrue claims. This can result in confusion and misunderstanding about what we should and should not be doing when it comes to managing fatigue and the related symptoms. At Salus Fatigue Foundation, we have the hands on, lived experience and qualifications to provide correct, evidenced-based and safe advice.

I am having problems logging in to the Fatigue Wellbeing Hub, what should I do?

What about my GP?

As with all medical conditions, your first port of call should be your GP. They will be able to provide you with appropriate clinical advice. However, what many of our beneficiaries have found is that they still need practical advice for the day to day management of their Fatigue. At Salus Fatigue Foundation we have over 10 years’ experience, both practical and personally, that has been tailored to help people with a range of fatigue symptoms.
